A working party will be cleaning the church on Monday December 18th from 9.30 am. If you are able to help, at any time that morning, please put your name on the list on the table by the main doors. We can find jobs for anyone who can spare some time, even if you need to sit down. We hope to complete it before lunch if enough help is available.
We need someone who would be willing to take on the job of checking and cleaning the 2 cloakrooms, on a temporary basis (2-3 months) whilst Roz is away. Most of the time it only requires a quick check and wipe, but before Christmas, there are a number of events taking place which means there will be greater use of the facilities. If you can help, please speak to Chris Foster. St Giles Little Torrington welcomes everyone to our Holy Communion Service

Unfortunately, the church will not be open during the day, for the time being, following 2 thefts from the building. On Wednesday June 15th, the large glass donation jar disappeared from the back of church. Luckily there was very little money in it, as it was regularly monitored. Last Tuesday when the church was locked at 4pm, the votive candle stand by the statue of St Michael was missing and candles all over the floor. It has been reported to the police online, but to date, there has been no contact from them. The thefts have been widely advertised on social media, in the hope that someone knows, or saw something. It may be necessary to consider the installation of CCTV cameras.
The wearing of masks is now voluntary. Should you feel more comfortable wearing a mask, please continue to do so. Please respect other people’s choices. Hand sanitiser will still be available at the church doors.
