What does Lockdown 3 mean for churches?

16/1/2021

Churches are currently permitted to remain open for communal worship and private prayer and people are allowed to leave home to attend church. A number of churches in Devon have made the decision to close their buildings for the time being. In our benefice, St. Michael’s will remain open, but the three village churches are closed until further notice.

In the last few days, new advice has been received about worship during the peak of the pandemic. It is prudent therefore to suspend singing temporarily. However, we will continue to have wonderful organ music played during the service.
