On Wednesday 12 October, 2016 classes in Year 2, 68 children in all, from Torrington Bluecoat Primary School visited the Parish Church for the 'Harvest Experience'.
The Harvest Experience is an interactive way to explore the rich harvest of our land and the spiritual harvest of our lives. It enables children to gain a fuller understanding of the significance of nature's cycles of growth, and to explore Christians beliefs about how the spirit of God produces growth in character, in what the Bible calls "Fruit of the Spirit". As part of their visit each group of 7 or so children, visited displays representing each fruit of the spirit, lead by Fr Peter and members the congregation and before leaving joined together for a song. Refreshments were provided half way through, and were much enjoyed by teachers, helpers and children alike. Here are some pictures of the day. Here are some photos of the Harvest decorations and the lunch today 11th Oct 2015, at St Michael's. The Church looked really lovely and lunch was delicious. The Chapel of St Mary Magdalen, Taddiport.Taddiport Church had a wonderful Harvest Festival, our Monday offertory as is a tradition was sent to the Leprosy Mission in Peterborough.
