Update: August 2014
After a very busy few months greeting people at the door and posing for photos, Ignatius our scarecrow has gone for a well earned rest. Thank you to everybody who voted for him, he came second in the competition.
Gabriel Hummerstone has sent us some photos of a sculpture being carved and offered in memory of his mother, Clarissa. It is en route to St.Mary's Lastingham for Good Friday.
On Sunday 12th January 2014, The Right Reverend Geoffrey Rowell visited Taddiport Church for our 9am Sung Mass before going to Torrington for their 10am Service. It was a surprise to us but most enjoyable. Bishop Geoffrey has just retired as the Bishop of Europe and this was his first visit to Taddiport.
On Mothering Sunday, March 10th 2013 the Bishop of Exeter, Michael Langrish dedicated the new belfry screen at a Sung Evensong at Taddiport Church.
You can read more and see some more photos on the Belfry Project page.
Monday 24th - Friday 28th September 2012.
This week we have experienced a most beautiful Pilgrimage to the Holy Shrine of 'Our Lady of Walsingham' in Norfolk. Both for those who went for the first time and those who had been before, it was a special journey of discovery and rediscovery. We joined with pilgrims from St. Peter's Plymouth and Bp. John Ford led the addresses based on 'showing the face of Jesus'. Special prayers were said for everyone here in Torrington.
